Visit KISC at any time of the year and take advantage of all the Alps and Switzerland have to offer.

Indoor Accommodation

The Centre can accommodate up to 351 guests indoors using 4 different buildings: The Chalet, Kander-Lodge, The Tower and Sunneblick.

Campsite accommodation

Campsite accommodation is available for another 1400 guests; mainly in summer. All sites have running water nearby, as well as access to

shower blocks and toilets.

International Staff

KISC is run by an international group of volunteers, commonly known as Pinkies. They come and work for periods of 3 months, to several years, in a wide variety of jobs. They are always willing to help and have fun!

Short Term Staff (STS)• Requirements:

- Members of either WOSM or WAGGGS.- Aged 18 years and over.- Able to communicate in English – the official language of KISC!

Short Term Staff (STS)• STS work for 3 month periods, starting in December, March, June

and September.• STS help in a variety of departments throughout the Centre with a

number of jobs. Shorties find themselves working everywhere from the kitchen, to the campsite, to leading hikes and climbing!

• During summer, there are around 30 Short Term Staff. In the other seasons, we have around 6-8.

The Dream continues…• Previous STS often return to the Centre to volunteer in a more

specific role, normally as Long Term Staff (LTS) or as Helpers!
