Executive Summary Community Mates has had a truly amazing start to 2015!! Key operational achievements achieved this quarter:
We have supported of over 100 events globally
February was our most successful month to date supporting eight events, with 55 Mates including 44 new discrete Mates and with 230 volunteer hours performed
March then superseded February to become our most amazing month to date supporting 10 events, with 102 Mates, including 73 new discrete Mates and with 352 volunteer hours performed
New Brisbane Chapter established o The first event took place in March with 11 mates contributing a total 23 hours supporting to Youngcare
New Gold Coast Chapter established
Queensland Executive Committee established Numerous initiatives for strategic growth continue:
1. Strategic Partnership has been formed with the University of Queensland (UQ) in the following key areas: a. The Community Mates UQ Social Economic Engagement Program (SEEP) project has officially started, which will
deliver a long-term strategic plan for growth, along with a detailed two year tactical plan b. The Community Mates UQ Community Engagement Program (CEP) has officially started, which is evaluating and
developing plan to establish and run UQ Community Mates Chapter 2. Conversations have commenced with an individual in Rockhampton 3. Conversations continue with the University of South Australia through Drew Evans 4. Conversations have progressed with Curtin University staff through Will Beresford and Laura McNama 5. Conversations have commenced with an individual in Canada 6. Conversations have commenced with an individual in Melbourne
