• Only females suck blood

• Their saliva causes an allergic reaction in humans

Infectious Disease

Mosquitoes are carriers for some of the most deadly infectious diseases, these include: encephalitis, yellow fever, and malaria. Mosquitos are responsible for millions of deaths every year. Malaria under a microscope

Deterrents

Torches filled with citronella , canned repellent and bug zappers are all good deterrents and you might need them all!

Bug zappers actually attract and not repel bugs, so put them where you aren’t.

First AidAfter a mosquito has bitten you, the allergic reaction is almost instantaneous, more saliva, more itch.

Cream can offer some relief to bites, but some serious reactions may require Benadryl (for adults) and Claritin (for kids).
