Background

Lead is a substance or substances that are harmful to the environment. The entry of

metallic lead to pollution of the environment can cause either to air or

water..

to know what heavy metals lead (Pb) and

the influence or impact on the environment of

air and water

Formulation

What sense Timbale Metals (Pb)?What is the nature and characteristics of the metals Lead (Pb)?What types of heavy metals Lead (Pb)? Where the source of heavy metals Lead (Pb)?What are the benefits of the heavy metals lead (Pb)?How to influence or impact caused by heavy metalsLead (Pb) against environmental air and water?

To learn more about what is meant by heavy metals lead (Pb) and the influence or impact on the marine environment.

DEFINITION

Lead is a heavy metal containing toxic substances (toxins). with it timbale is logan that should receive more attention in order to minimize the inclusion of lead both to humans and to the environment (Deri, 2013)

Pb lead the Latin word plumbum which means soft metal. Lead is one of the air pollutants in the form of particulates.(Arisandy, 2012).

CHARACTERISTICS

CharacterLead (Pb)

The atomic number 82

Inorganic (inorganic salts)

Bluish gray color

Boiling point 1620

Soft and supple (Denny,2005)

TYPE

Lead (Pb)

Galena Lead is a mineral that is very important and most widely spread across the

hemisphere and is generally associated with

other minerals such as sphalerite, calcite, and

flourite

Cerrusite is one of the minerals of lead containing lead carbonate and

become the main source of lead after galena

Anglesite is a mineral of lead from

lead sulfate PbSO4

BENEFIST

Widely used in the automotive

field

As a coloring agent in the

manufacture of ceramics,

especially for yellow and red

PVC plastic is used in

the industry to cover the

electric wire

Used to solder for

the electronics industry.

Added in equipment made of brass that is

not slippery and is typically used

in machining equipment

(Wulandari,2005)

The Impact

Timbal (Pb)Air pollution water pollution

Vehicle exhaust fumes can be an indicator of the cause of pollution in the air due to the substance or substances Lead metal produced.

Industrial waste water discharged directly into the water can cause water pollution.
