• Punta Mona alta diversidad• Punta Cocles hay reportes de
aumento cobertura coral vivo 5-16% entre 1993 y 2002, vinculado con protección natural, y social por habitantes (Fernández &Alvarado, 2004)

¿Qué es el Fondo de Biodiversidad Sostenible - FBS?
Es un fideicomiso cuyo objetivo es conservar a largo plazo, y de manera sostenible, la biodiversidad que se encuentra en terrenos privados.Para alcanzar este objetivo el FBS proveerá el financiamiento sostenible para la conservación en las zonas de amortiguamiento de las áreas protegidas y de los corredores biológicos.Actualmente el FBS se encuentra en la etapa de capitalización y se espera iniciar operaciones en el año 2015, las cuales buscan beneficiar a todos los pequeños y medianos productores forestales en áreas privadas de cobertura forestal y alta biodiversidad, que preferiblemente posean limitantes para entrar en el esquema actual de Pago por Servicios Ambientales.Se espera que pueda brindar apoyo implementando nuevos incentivos positivos que contribuyan a la protección de la biodiversidad.
