There are many different ways to record sounds and depending on what you are trying to achieve you can use different methods.

Recorders

Firstly you can record someone's voice through a handheld recorder, these are small and compact and easy to carry around with you, these are often used for vox pops.

Recording Studios

Recording studios are used for clearer sounds and often when you want to create that professional sound.

These are used when creating radio adverts and music.

My Production

In my production I will use Ratcliffe Colleges recording studio, this will allow me to get a clear sound to my radio trailer and will make it sound more professional.
