Jacob Moon is a solo Canadian folk singer/songwriter and guitarist based in Hamilton, Ontario. Jacob has an extensive repertoire of songs, with seven albums to his credit (Wikipedia, 2014).

He has a grassroots approach to marketing and promotion which has rewarded him with a following that is passionate and loyal

Post consistently

Jacob is constantly tweeting and sending out emails. He does a good job at keeping his ‘face’ out there to draw on his fan base and promote new gigs and new venues.

He doesn’t hesitate to offer 2:1 ticket deals to promote shows.

He also promotes other musicians who support him in concert.

Conclusion

Jacob Moon uses social media to successfully promote his story and his song. He has definitely found his audience and taken advantage of many different ways to build the connections.
