Lets Get Started! Click on Ms. Markey 5. What is COMMON GOOD? In our democracy, all citizens need to work together to do good things for the whole community. 6. For example, people pay taxes so everyone can go to schools, so everyone can be protected by fire fighters, and so everyone can enjoy parks and public pools. 7. At school, you have rules that protect everyone, like returning books to thelibrary, and no throwing food atlunch.We all do many things each day to help others. 8. Take a look at this example The Flamingo family loves to take bubble baths in the river. They do not know that their soap is making the water dirty for others who must drink it. 9. The Frogs and Beavers need to drink the water from the river. They ask forhelp from the government. 10. The man from the government talks to the Flamingoes about keeping the water clean for everyone. 11. The Flamingos are bathing in a newbath tub. All guests who want to enjoy the water slides must be 42 inches or taller. Spitting or spouting water from your mouth is not permitted. Please do not chew gum or tobacco in the waterpark. Running in the water or on the deck area is not permitted. Hard plastic and glass containers are not allowed in the waterpark.
