TERMINOLOGY TREMIX; Special concrete floor surface harden by
admixtures and dewatering used in industrial facilities
DEWATERING ; Dewatering is the removal of water from
solid material by wet classification and filtration or similar solid liquid separation
OBJECTIVES Achieving lower water cement ratio Increase compressive strength Elimination of curling Improve wear resistance Improve water resistance
PROCEDURE Preparation of sub base Divide flooring area into panels Preparation of frame work using steel
channels
Mix design of concrete Placing of concrete and compacting Levelling and compaction by double beam

Dewatering process
1. The filter pads are placed and proper sealing ensured
2. The top cover is unrolled over the filter pads
3. The top cover is connected to the suction hose of the vacuum pump and water is removed

Performance analysis The final strength achieved by ordinary concrete on
28 day will be achieved by tremix concrete by initial day itself.
On further curing the vacuum concrete achieves compressive strength far more than ordinary concrete.

CONCLUSION High initial slump can be used, during
concrete pouring . Better workability than normal concrete. Lowering water cement ratio leads
increase wear resistance, compressive strength and minimum water permeability.
