INTRODUCTION
o4GLTE stands for fourth-generation Long
Term Evolution.
o It has launched in the year 2010.
o4GLTE replaced the 3G Technology.
o It is a fully IP based integrated system.

OBJECTIVE
4G is being developed to accommodate the quality of Service(QOS) and rate requirements set by forth coming application like o MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) o Wireless Broadband Service o Video Chat o Mobile TV o Digital Video Broadcasting o High Network Capacity o Smooth handoff across heterogeneous network o Seamless Connectivity and Global Roaming across multiple
networks

ULTRA WIDEBAND
o UWB is given by ROBERT A. SCHOLTY.
o It use a very low energy level for short range.
o High bandwidth(>500MHz) over a long
portion of the radio spectrum.
o UWB in the frequency range from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz.

SMART ANTENNA
o Smart antenna is also known as Adaptive array
antenna.Example-MIMO(Multi I/P Multi O/P).
o It is a digital wireless communication antenna
system that takes advance of diversity effect at
transmitter and receiver OR Both.
Diversity effect:-It is in value the Transmittion
and Reception of multiple RF wave to increase
data speed and reduce the error rate.

IPv6
o It is Internet Protocol version 6.
o The numeric address is known as Internet Protocol Address.
o It is pass the packet over a network.
o The most obvious improvement in IPv6 over IPv4 is that IP
addresses are lengthened from 32 bits to 128 bits.
o IPv6 ip address is typically written in hexadecimal separated
by colon. A colon separates 16 bit.
o Example:-
IPv4:- 198.162.10.78
IPv6:- 2002:4559:1FE2::4559:1FE2

APPLICATIONS
o More Security
o High Speed Data Rate
o Video Conferencing
o Higher Bandwidth
o Global Roaming
o Virtual presence
o Virtual navigation
4/26/2016 PSIT 14
ADVANTAGES
o Improvement over 3G network
o IP based mobile system
o Low cost
o Wider bandwidths and higher bit rates
o Global mobility and service portability
o A wide range application using only one 4G
integrated terminal

CONCLUSION
o As the history of mobile communications shows,
attempts have been made to reduce a number of
technologies to a single global standard.
o 4G seems to be a very promising generation of
wireless communication that will change the
people’s life in the wireless world.
o 4G was launched in 2010 and now the world is
looking forward for the most intelligent
technology that would connect the entire globe.
