Game: Woolen Ball

Page 15: School profile

This game is intended as an icebreaker or “warm up”, so the group gets to know each other while we learn some of their personal information and preferences.

For this game we have to get the group in a circle and ask everyone to throw the ball to a person on the other side of the circle. The teacher will begin the activity choosing a topic like, for example, hobbies. He/she will say his/her name and his/her favorite hobby and then pass de ball to a child. Each one of them will then say their name and favorite thing, and keeping hold of the strand of wool, will have to pass it to the next one and so on until everyone has talked, forming a spider web. Now, to collect the ball back, they will go in the opposite order while saying something that they dislike or fear and rolling the wool to form the ball again.
