1. Reread the information until you understand it completely
2. Turn the source upside down or push it away3. Write the information on your card IN YOUR
OWN WORDS and NOT IN A SENTENCE.4. Check your notecard with the source to make
sure you’ve changed the wording and the structure
5. YOU STILL NEED TO CITE! (idea came from somewhere else)
