MY EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY

Overview

In the past decades teachers used books and

chalk and board in teaching, it is the traditional way

of educating students, and it is part of educational

technology. Educational technology is a product of

certain creativity and imagination of a person who

are educating somehow, a process of transferring

knowledge using certain instructional materials. It is

designed to help teachers and learners in teaching-

learning process.

Pre-School

Workbook (Coloring book)

It helps me to distinguish colors, to know the different vegetables, fruits and flowers, to identify the boys’ and girls’ wear and helps me to know the chronological order of numbers and alphabets.

Charts It helps me to

identify the different animals, shapes and objects. I easily understand the lesson because it is visible and clear with respond to reality

Elementary

Flashcards It helps me to be

active and think faster especially in mathematics, and allows me to read the words with proper pronunciation.

Chalkboard (Green board)

It helps me to develop my confidence during demonstration and also I learned to follow the flow of discussions and its facts written and processes.

Photographs It helps me to

describe something and develop my critical seeing ability and improve my imagination out of pictures.

High School

Audio-recordings It improves my

listening skills, I learned to dance accompany with the beat.

Overhead Projector (OHP)

I can see a bigger object so I can distinguish, classify or even enumerate what is being flash on the board.

Bulletin Boards It helps me to recall

the different terminologies posted. Engage me and motivate me when my test paper’s score is at the board.

Television (DVD) I view a moving

object (person) and imitate the way they do. I became faster in taking down notes and elaborate the details in a film and helps me to focus what I am viewing.

Books It nurtures me, every

time I open a book and read in advanced the lesson it helps me to participate actively, improve mastery of learning, memorization is easy, facts are reliable, and I get an information that my teacher never taught.

Visual Symbols It helps me to

amaze and enjoy the discussion, and learn to broaden better my imagination through symbols and make me artistic.

Models It helps me to learn

so much from Earth surfaces, its rotation, the geographical location of the country, the topology and some climatic phenomena using the model.

Laptop It helps me to have a

hands-on experience, I learned how to type, make a PowerPoint presentation, use the internet to pass projects, edit pictures and make me connected to the sites that may help me in my assignments.

College

Power Point Presentation It helps me to grasps

information quickly and understand it, also it helps me to summarize some reports, makes me creative, and explain long reports in simple way that we can re-read and re-listen and focus on, helps me to illustrate things that cannot show in exact time.

Calculator It helps me for easy

calculation in Physics and Mathematics. And it helps me to correct my answers or to check my work.

Whiteboard It helps me to have

a higher order thinking skill because of its abstraction.
