• McDonald's is the world's largest chain of hamburger fast food restaurants, serving around 68 million customers daily in 119 countries across 35,000 outlets.

• The company filed a logo trademark on an overlapping, double-arched "M" symbol. By September 6, 1962.

• McDonald's operates over 35,000 restaurants worldwide, employing more than 1.7 million people. The company also operates other restaurant brands, such as Piles Café.

•According to the Australian Mc Happy Day website, Mc Happy Day raised $20.4 million in 2009. The goal for 2010 was $20.8 million.
