Hunt The HauntedShe can taste the sorrowAnd she can't get enoughAnd she's too scared to swallowCause she might fall in loveSo we look to tomorrowAnd we know that these kids will followWhere we go and these steps are hollow She's gonna haunt your home and break your bonesNever gonna leave your soul aloneBecause the things you've got will leave you on your own

Kids In Glass HousesOur Song…

Narrative Concept• The narrative follows the theme of haunting, with the

main character taking on the part of a ghost searching for someone they have lost.

• This search leads them through a series of brightly coloured doorways, each one bringing them out in a different location.

• These doorways form one of the motifs of the video, and the different locations help to increase the sense of searching.

• The final set of doors leads them the to the setting of the band performance, tying the narrative and performance parts of the video together

• In the final scenes the ghost character finally finds who they were looking for, before ending on something profound and ambiguous (yet to be decided upon)

Why?!

• We chose this song as we believe there is a lot of opportunity for an imaginative and exciting storyline

• It also allows for some links to horror films, fitting with the songs title and theme

• The song structure allows for plenty of killer shots fitting with the big feel of the intro and choruses

• The change of pace towards the bridge of the song also allows for a darker section of the video, helping to fit some horror movie-esque shots in

Characterisation

The main –or ghost- character should come across as weak and lost, as well as quite small. This helps to make the doors look more imposing and more dramatic, as well as taking a different perspective on the haunting/ghost element by making them much less threatening, and to a degree, more scared themselves.

The secondary –or non-ghost- character will appear far less in the video. When they do appear it will be in shots reminiscent of horror films, such as in reflections and flashing past the screen.

Performance

• The Main Performance should be shot in the woods• It will be shot in daytime, with natural lighting If possible,

to allow for shots of reflections of light and of shadows• We will look into editing conventions of similar artists

performances in their video, to see how we should shoot and edit ours, and whether there arte particular things we should aim to do.

• Other secondary performances will be shot in various locations such as on a cliff edge, a dark stage, and other places that the door brings the main character.

• Aidan Matthews will play guitar.

Motifs/Killer Shots

• Doors are a recurring theme and symbol throughout our video

• Second to this, we will have a symbol that connects the doors to the performance aspect

• This symbol will represent the band, and be printed both on the drum kit and on the doors, showing us that the two will tie together, and making the final scene -with the door opening into the performance- more logical.

• We will try and fit a Guitar spin into the performance, as they always look very impressive

• We will try and fit in fairly subtle horror film references throughout the video
