The Lion Who Wanted To Love

Giles Andreae, David Wojtwycz, Orchard Picturebooks

The colours are quite bright, and some pages are not very busy but others are framed and have a lot going on, the style is hand drawn and stylised with more shading on the animals instead of typical textures, but also each animal is outlines with a small white line to make them stand out more. The animals are also quite cartoony which makes them very cute and not at all scary.

There are 32 pages and the image stretches over the double page and all the text is written in a serif font and over plain coloured areas within the book. This book compared to the others has longer/more sentences.
