Central Idea:
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to
change the world.”

How much time do students spend working on the exhibition?•Students began brainstorming ideas and
concepts in December.•Students are now spending 8 weeks on
their inquiries.•Students still have Maths and Language
daily (and all subject lessons as normal).
Presentation
•Students present the results of their inquiries on April 22nd.•Students will also perform on the
presentation night to demonstrate their learning in all subjects.
Where are we now?
•Students have selected and researched their issues. •We are now in the ‘action’ stage where
students attempt to solve their issue.•We are encouraging students to make
their action meaningful, and at least some of it sustainable.
Assessment
•Rubrics assess the skills, processes and attitudes.
•Though the end product is assessed the emphasis is on the process.
