Simply breaking open will solve the problem. The deep interior should be OK. If you abhor such violence, just slice away one strip of the green toward the stem and stop about one inch from the stem, as the concentration is likely to be there.
Wash off the knife blade, then repeat peeling from flower end to stem end until it is peeled. Rinse the knife again and cut up as needed. The offending chemical should have disappeared.

The molecule responsible for the action is lawsone, otherwise known as henotannic acid (2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone).
The acidic functionality of lemon juice serves to destabilize the plant’s cellulose while allowing the lawsone molecules to remain intact. The lemon juice attacks the lawsone directly to create a unified acidic substance.
Lawsone, a relatively small molecule, migrates to the site of action and undergoes a Michaels’ reaction. This reaction happens quite quickly.

Scientists originally believed that digestion was a process controlled entirely by the nervous system. In a 1902 experiment, the small intestine of a dog whose intestinal nerves were severed were simulated.
It was found that pancreas continued to secrete digestive juices suggesting that there was some sort of signaling in play.
The Greek words for “to set in motion” were used for this mechanism.

The moon’s orbit intersects the Earth’s orbit at two points which are called as the ascending node and descending node depending on whether the moon is ascending (moving from South to North) at that point or descending (moving from North to South.
An eclipse takes place when the three bodies lie in the same plane, which brings the ascending and descending nodes on the Earth-Sun line.
This is the logic behind what myth in Indian astrology?
