Birth of more than one child from one pregnancy.

refers to the delivery of twins and higher order multiples (e.g., triplets, quadruplets, etc.)

The most common human multiple birth is Twin.

TWINRefers to two individuals

TWO COMMON TYPES OF TWINS

Identical (Monozygotic)

Fraternal (Dizygotic)

IDENTICAL (MONOZYGOTIC)

 occur when a single egg is fertilized by a single sperm to form one zygote but the zygote then divides into two to form two complete organisms.
