Global warming 2/9
WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING? Global warming is the rise in average
temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans. The Earth’s mean temperature has increased by about 0.8 degree Celsius since the late 19th century with about two-third of the increase occurring after 1980.
According to scientists it is primarily caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases produced by human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation.

HOW TO STOP IT?
Global warming 6/9
Reduce emission of carbon dioxide

SIMPLE THINGS TO DO
Global warming 7/9
Turn off your computer or the TV when you are not using it.
Keep rooms cool by closing the blinds, shades or curtains. Take shorter showers. Heating water uses energy.
Turn off the lights when you leave a room.
Use compact fluorescent bulbs.
