Presentation of the Project

Edu-school is the winter project of the foundation for education and

exchange in collaboration with AIESEC and kindern garden, nusery

and primary schools of the city of Douala.

This project aim at empowering children from primary and nursery

school age from 04 years to 12 years around issues like international

culture, foreign Languages, motivation, basic hygiene, computer

science, assist the school teachers and school administration.

Job description :

Job Description1 Interns should be dynamic, innovative, enthusiastic, open-minded, pro-active and flexible.

Job Description2 Help the teachers in teaching english,foreign languages, environment protection, basic computer skills based on the exact need of teachers.

Job Description3 Take part in the schools life like special events. Help these events to be better and interact with the students and teachers during them.

Job Description4 Introducing the culture of the intern with little playful activities, traditional clothes, food, toys. Teaching them songs, rhymes, origami, other interesting things for kids. Be creative.

Job Description5 The intern should prepare extra activities for students for example games, competitions.

Job Description6 Interns will have opportunities experience Cameroon culture during project (African dance,african foods,traditional fabric,…) and discover little Africa after the project.

Additional information a potential candidate may require for the Internship

The intern will required to contribute 200 euros: Accommodation and utilities usage of the intern house, cultural intergration.

Realisation period : 03 periods to welcome you

January-February : 13 interns

February –March : 13 interns

March-Avril : 13 interns CHILD-EDUCATION

Douala-Bonaberi centre esquestre

Situated 15 mns from the city center of Douala : AKWA and 30 mns from

the airport.

The intern will share a room with other interns but will have his or her bed

with mostiquo tents.

Although water and electricity may go off at time due the supply

company, is pretty cool to be in. It’s the best intern house in Cameroon.

In Cameroon, we do not have hot water in houses.

When the runing water goes ff, they will always be water reserve.

Internet is available 24/7 wifi

Beer : 550frs or 0.85 euro

Soda : 450frs or 0.7 euro

Mineral water : 450frs or 0.7 euros a bottle of 1.5 L Or a pack of 06 bottles of 1.5 liters is 2400frs or 3.9 euros. Also 10 liters for 2.3 euros

Taxi

200frs per person for a share taxi or 0.31 euro from 05 am to 09 pm and 250frs from 10 pm to 04 pm

2500frs for 01 hours for sole taxi or 3.89 euros

Heath

we have very high standards hospital in Douala for example www.hgdcam.cm or www.clibo.com

Security The city is safe, but as in other city in the world they are pick pockets, thieves….

Around the intern house you have grocesseries/little

shops/market where you can buy your food or do some

shoping.’

05 National Wild life parks for Safari : the

most famous park is Waza park and

Benoue park animals. like lion, elephant,

hypopotamous, giraffe, Rinho etc…

Mount Cameroon race of Hope is 01 of the

major attraction during the month of

feburary with more than thirty thousand

participants from around the world. The

mountain is 4100 m highest in West

Africa.

Amazing beaches particulary during dry

season, with the black sand beach in Limbe.

Rumsiki is moon on heart.

With more than 300 local tribes we have

the most rich cluture in West Africa.

Rain forest offers you a unique combinaison

of nature and mistry.

Dinosaures where found in Cameroon.

Pygmees are the first habitants of the rain

forest and still they still leave from

hunting,fishing and fruits in the rain forest.

Korup National park has trees of more than

60.000.000 years.

Ekombe water fall is the most beautiful

water in West Africa.

EKOM NKAM water fall is famous for the

movie tarzan.

we have excellent shop here where you can buy clothes from traditionnal african

clothes to the best brand like mango shop etc…

Restaurant :

In Cameroon all kind foods are available from pizza and italian foods, to pop

corn or local traditional foods. You can also cook your foods we have a lot of

varieties.

Night Club

Night life here is excellent.
