TO BE ACCEPTED INTO CO-OP A STUDENT MUST: Be a good student Follow all rules at Blessed Trinity Finish all homework and assignments in

a timely manner Be respectful to teachers, staff, and

peers Have had a successful interview with

the co-op department.

FORMAT OF CO-OP PROGRAM 2-3 weeks pre-employment 3 reflective learning sessions 4 visits from the co-op teacher to your

placement

LOGS & JOURNALS The purpose of the weekly journals is to

be thoughtful about your experience. They are meant for the student to reflect upon what happens on a daily basis.

Logs and journals are due the Tuesday after the week the journal was written. For example, the journal is of week 3. This journal will be due Tuesday of week 4.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A GOOD CO-OP STUDENT Keep logs/journals up to date Show up on time each day Be at your placement on a regular basis Get the right amount of hours Put a good effort into your work Be polite and respectful to the people at

your placement.

ST. JOHN’S CATHOLIC ELEMENTARY

ST. JOHN’S St. John’s Elementary was built in 1958

with four rooms and two additions. It is a beautiful setting for a school with orchards on both sides and the Bruce Trail directly behind it.

St. John’s just celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2008.

St. John’s is home to 330 students as of 2009.

DUTIES CONT’D Show up each day that I am teaching

with a lesson plan I usually have a worksheet or note for

each class I write down everything that I taught to

each class daily to keep a record. Prep for classes from 8:10-8:45. I do bus duty with the JKs and SKs every

morning at 8:45.
