Computers in Education: A Brief History› http://www.thejournal.com/articles/13739
The World Wide Web and Personal Computers (PC) became readily available and it grew dramatically.
Super Nintendo was just released.
Computers were being exposed to students during this time
Computer classes were widely offered, teaching the students the basics of typing to creating a webpage.
Apple introduced iPod. Cell phones replaced
pagers.
Classes were offered online. Professors required students to turn in
homework via email and host sites, and also made class discussions online.
I first learned about SSH.
The Internet has revolutionized the way people communicate all around the world.
Cell phones can do anything and everything today!
Technology is getting smaller & better!
I want every student to have a laptop so we can send/receive and do work through the internet and computer.
Classes will be done over internet conferencing.
Textbooks will be viewed online.
Translation will be done instantly by computer.
The budget cuts and lack of funding will make education take a step back rather than forward with the evolving technology.
