Who ,What ,When ,Where, Why.

• Who: MyPlanner is designed for students.

• What: Students who get in trouble, forget etc.

• When: Anytime

• Where: Anywhere

• Why: Late night, party, friends coming round, Might have over slept

Visualize this:

You walk into your classroom with your friends happily, with no worries. As you sit

down you hear one of your classmates saying ‘Have you done the homework?’. And

then you remember. You forgot to do the homework…

‘Please hand in your homework!’

How do I keep up with my school work and grades?

Key insight statement

• Always forgetting to do your homework and never knowing when it is due in.

Flow of app

• Out of 30 people ,23 people said they would install our app and 7 people said they wouldn’t

User profiles

• Our app users would mainly be the younger generation (e.g. students) however, with the help of your prize, we can stretch this idea in order to suit many different age groups.

• When you reach high school you usually get a planner, unfortunately, most people do not bother to check it. This is because there is no reminder to check your planner; if it was on your phone, we are able to set notifications so you can immediately be reminded to do your homework and be able to keep up with your grades. The app suits males and females.

Competitors

• Alternatives to our app are

• My homework student planner. They do not solve this problem as it is very bland and not appealing to the younger generation. It is only on iTunes

• Another competitor is HomeWork. This app is quite good but again, very un appealing. Apps need to be appealing, especially for homework.

User stories

• As a student I want to get my homework in on time so that I don’t get into trouble with my teacher.

Flow of app

• Out of 30 people ,23 people said they would install our app and 7 people said they wouldn’t .

• Due to this, I predict our app would easily attract students and be installed by many.

This is the screen for when you first enter the app. You have the choice of going to MyCalendar, MyHistory, or change your settings. Also, when you click on our icon, it goes straight to your school website.

This is the MyCalendar screen. When you first enter this screen, it will already be on the current date; you are able to select a different date to check the homework set on that day. The date written next to the homework is the date it is due. Once you have completed your homework, just tap the checkbox and the homework will be checked in order to tell you it is completed.

This is the MyHistory section of the app. It is meant to tell you your grades and how far away you are from your target grade. The shaded part of the progress bar shows how far you already are and the part that is left empty is how far you have left to go. Also, if you have achievement points it tells you how many you have.

This is the settings section. As you can see, you just need to click on the checkbox in order to enable what ever is available. Of course, when you click disable ads it will give you an alert box saying ‘Disable ads for £0.69?’ and you have the option to say yes or no. If you click notifications, it enables the app to give you notifications when your homework is due. You can also have a password so no one gets into the app and have parent mode if you are a parent keeping an eye on your child’s work. You can also change the language of the app.

Feasibility

Our app uses Notifications in order to remind our users about their homework and the day it is due. We send a notification to them the day before the homework is due. We also have a purchase channel in order to get rid of the advertisements in the app as the app’s free version has advertisements placed at the bottom of the screen. Getting rid of them would cost 69p

Customer Pledges

We promise that we will make an effect on your school life and help you with achieving your targets. You will definitely make progress if you use our app.

Marketing Strategy

We plan to sell our app to local schools and have an assembly in front of the school promoting our app. We are also going to make a video advertisement to go on YouTube. We have already made an advertisement that can go on other apps and our poster.

Our plan

If we are successful in our business, we are planning to take the app further by making the app suitable for, not only students, but for different ages. In addition to this, we want to add an optional parent setting.
