• PRAWN PASTE IS FROM DRIED SHRIMPS
• IT IS USED TO COOK MANY TYPES OF FOOD
• IT IS A VERY WELL-KNOWN AND POPULAR INGREDIENT IN LOCAL DISHES

• This is sayur ‘midin’
• We can cook this vegetable with belacan
• Sayur ‘midin’ also can be found at Sunday market
Chillies (cabik)
• This is chillies or “cabik”
• Local chillies are very spicy
• It is the main ingredient in local recipes
Long beans (kacang panjang)
• use for making kacang fritters• can also be cooked with dried
anchovies (ikan pusuk) and egg
Dried prawn or sesar
• dried prawns or well-known as sesar in sarawak
• used for making sambal or cooking different dishes

• Fresh sour sop juice
• can reduce blood pressure
• Cheap and available throughout the year
