OverviewWe are excited to introduce to you The Yellow Compass - a venture created to help navigate through the quirky, eccentric and diverse world of the Indian Consumer. Having closely observed people around us for most our lives and then plunging into the field of Consumer Psychology, we understand the Indian Consumer's mind-set and are experts in shaping marketing strategies to cater to this unique audience.
We work with brands to create the most effective way for them to reach out to their customers and work towards building a relationship with them rather than just a sale.
Through research-driven attractive design, market analysis and customer-centric marketing strategies, we guide brands through the channels best suited to their specific consumer base.
Whether it's creating a fresh brand image from scratch or revamping and updating an existing one, we never shy away from bringing something unique to the table.

Team Chinmay Tamhaney, Founder
Over the years, Chinmay has tried on a variety of hats in different organisations and has had the honour of sharing his workspace with some of the brightest minds in the industry. His expertise lies in cutting through the noise and finding an order in the chaos. Previously Chinmay has worked on a range of FMCG brands including Unilever, Aditya Birla Retail, L’Oreal, Britannia among others.
His academic and professional journey has led him to create The Yellow Compass through which he works to help companies design and conduct customized research studies that assist them in shaping their marketing strategies and understanding their customers better.
Kanika Raj, Partner
Kanika’s work with words has helped her widen her scope of writing, from writing articles and web content, to full-fledged communication across various media channels – ranging from social media to copy writing for brand merchandising as well as visual media content.
Previously she has headed communications for a travel start-up, and worked on brand management and handled media relations for brands such as Anmol Jewellers, Svenska Design Hotels, Out of the Blue among others.
