Three Men Fined As Aftermath to Gambling Raid
Change Picas to Guilty, 6 Others^ Already Fined

men arrested Dee. 9 in an alleged raid on a dice and card game here xhanged their plea of innocent to that of guilty Thursday in Peace Justice Ralph Campbell's court, and each paid a fine.
Earlier in the day, Chautauqua County Judge Hugh V. N. Bodine denied a motion in County court to transfer the cases of the three defendants from the Peace Justice's jurisdiction to the Grand Jury. The motion was offered by the trio's attorney, Willard W. Cass.
At 2 P.M., Mr. Cass appeared before Justice Campbell with his clients, Albert Traniello, 35, of 373 East Avenue. Lake wood, charged with operating gambling games . LaVerne Duell, 23, R.D.I, Frewsburg, and Frank Ottin. 29. of 16 Bush Street, Jamestown, charged with disorderly conduct.
Traniello, who was at liberty on $500 bail since his arrest, was permitted to plead guilty to a lesser charge, disorderly conduct, and he paid a $50 fine.
Duell and Ottin, had each furnished $50 bail, pleaded guilty to the original charge of disorderly conduct. Ottin paid a $25 fine and Duell, $15. »

Fcr Mr. Anderson is now in his 40th year In a cleaning venture, started in 1911. In those days he picked up clothes on a bicycle and delivered them to the cleaning shop in a small, two-wheel push cart.

Funeral services will be held from the Henderson-Lincoln Chapel at 3 P.M. Friday. Rev. Gustav Erickson, pastor of the Lander Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.

penter Shearman, 93, of De-wittville, wife of the late Henry Shearman, died at 4 P.M. Thursday after a long illness.
Mrs. Shearman was born in the Town of Ellery, Jan. 3, 1859, and formerly resided in Frewsburg. Her husband died many years ago.
Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Janie Cadwell of Dewittville, and Florida, and Mrs. Edith Hunt .of the Warner Home in Jamestown.
The body is at the Evans Funeral Home, Bemus Point, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday. Rev. Harold Knappenberger, »Jr., of Bemus Point Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery.

wood, 73, of 3 Tremont Street, Warren, a resident here eight years, and a former school teacher at Franklin, Pa., died at the McCoy Nursing Home, Pitts-field, Pa., at 9:30 P.M. Thursday.
Miss Harwood was born Nov. 3, 1878, in Franklin, and lived in Olean for several years before coming to Warren.
