Earlier in the day, Chautauqua County Judge Hugh V. N. Bodine denied a motion in County court to transfer the cases of the three defendants from the Peace Justice's jurisdiction to the Grand Jury. The motion was offered by the trio's attorney, Willard W. Cass.

At 2 P.M., Mr. Cass appeared before Justice Campbell with his clients, Albert Traniello, 35, of 373 East Avenue. Lake wood, charged with operating gambling games . LaVerne Duell, 23, R.D.I, Frewsburg, and Frank Ottin. 29. of 16 Bush Street, Jamestown, charged with disorderly conduct.

Traniello, who was at liberty on $500 bail since his arrest, was permitted to plead guilty to a lesser charge, disorderly conduct, and he paid a $50 fine.

Duell and Ottin, had each furnished $50 bail, pleaded guilty to the original charge of disorderly conduct. Ottin paid a $25 fine and Duell, $15. »
