Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat
Bazaar (535m) -8 to 9 Hours
Our Guide and porter will come to your hotel at 6:00 am. Then we head to Arughat by bus or Land Cruiser (depending
on group size) - a very scenic drive. While passing the ridge of Kathmandu Valley, you catch a glimpse of Annapurna,

Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal,
other magnificent views, and terraces and green
hills. After Dhading Besi or Gorkha Bazaar the
road is difficult because of the poor condition of
the road. To get to Arughat through the Gorkha
Bazaar or Dhading Besi depends on your time
and desires. The village of Arughat is in two
parts, on opposite sides of the Buri Gandaki.
Arughat Bazaar is large, clean and prosperous
with hotels and shops selling clothes, food, and
hardware. Stay overnight at Tea House or
Tented camp.
Day 02: Drive Arughat to Soti Khola (720m) -2
to 2 ½ hrs. Then Trek Soti Khola to Machha khola (930m) -6 to 7 Hours
After having breakfast, drive Arughat to Sotikhola by Local jeep through the different village. Then, trek from Soti
Khola to Machha khola (Fish River) goes through the rice field and exploring people live hood. Machha khola is a
village, which is situated above a stream with the same name of Budahigandaki. We camp for the night by a wide
campsite or find some tea house.
Day 03: Trek Machha Khola to Thulo Dhunga(1,250m) -6 to7 Hours
The trail involves some steep ascents and descents to the Doban. The trail gives the glimpses of diversity of flora &
fauna, and people with different religions and cultures. We ascend a well crafted staircase over a ridge to Doban.
Doban means confluence of streams, where
Shiar Khola comes from the east and the Sarpu
Khola meet from the west. We set up our camp
here or stay overnight at tea house.
Day 04: Trek Thulo Dhunga to Philim (1,570 m) -
5 to 6 Hours
After a hot breakfast our journey leads us to
ascend a rugged rocky trail. Then we climb up
and down ravines and notched trees. Several
waterfalls on both side of the Budhi Gandaki
river and hundred species of birds in the forest

makes our trip very enjoyable. Liding,
Machhakhola, Jagat, and Philim provide the
unique hospitality with culture and religion.
During this trekking the narrow valley shaped by
Budhi Gandaki provides magnificent vistas of
Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal and Himal Chuli, as
we continue up to the large Gurung village and
fields of corn and millet. There are several good
campsites here and we can set up camp
surrounded by alder, blue pine and poplar trees
or stay at the tea house.
Day 05: Trek Philim to Chumling (Lower Tsum)
(2,361m)-7 to 8 Hours
The trail goes up through Philim and heads up over a ridge that leads to Ganesh Himal Base camp and Chumling
(Lower Tsum). We camp for the night at Chumling. Each individual can enjoy themselves with songs of birds and the
roaring sound of river. There are several good campsites at Chumling to camp at our stay overnight at a local house.
Day 06: Trek Chumling to Chhekampar (Upper Tsum) (3,010 m) -5 to 6 Hours
After breakfast, we trek to Chhekampar. Upper Tsum valley (part of the inner Himalaya) opens from
Chhekampar/Chhekamparo. This village situated on flat land and made up of two settlements Chhekam and Paro.
From the valley, we have view of Ganesh Himal range in front to the south where it provides spectacular views of the
Baudha and Himal Chuli peaks to the southwest. Some households in this village practice polyandry. We stay overnight
here.
Day 07: Trek Chhekampar to Chhule-Nile
(3,361m), visit Milarepa Piren Phu Cave on the
way -5 to 6 Hours
On the way we pass the Piren Phu cave. Piren
Phu (pigeon cave) is one of the most sacred
caves in the Tsum valley. It is located at the foot
of a rugged cliff near the village of Burji.
Milarepa, the famous Tibetan saint, was
believed to have meditated here. There are two
separate monasteries attached to the rocky
cave. Richly painted Buddhist murals, excellent
artistic scripts carved on stones, long prayer

flags and significant Buddhists paper scripts
make this cave one of the most important socio-
cultural asset in the valley. Beautiful views can
be had at the Shiar Khola, Rachen Gumba, the
mountains and settlements amidst this vast
agricultural land. This is the last village heading
north of the upper Tsum Valley. Stay overnight.
Day 08: Trek Chhule-Nile to Mu Gompa (3,700
m), visit Dhephyudonma Gompa (4,060 m) -2 to
3 Hours
After breakfast, the trail gradually ascends to Mu
Gompa (1895 AD), the largest monastery in the
region and farthest point in the Tsum valley. The monastery houses religious books, including the Tibetan canon
(Kangyur), a life sized statue of Avalokiteshwara (the Bodhisattva of Compassion), and images of Guru
Padmasambhava and Tara. Chosyang Tal is about two to three hours uphill. Then we visit Dephyudonma Gumba, one
of the oldest monasteries in the Tsum Valley situated in rugged mountains, a 2 hr walk from the village of Chule and
Nile. The history of this monastery is directly associated with the dawn of Buddhism in the valley. The monastery is run
by Lama Serap of Nile Ladrang from the Kangin sect. There are a few campsites and drinking water facilities.
Day 09: Trek Mu Gompa to Rachen Gompa (3,210 m) -4 to 5 Hours
We take the trail to Rachen Gompa nunnery. It is situated in the Shiar Khola Valley in the foothills of the mountains
bordering Nepal and Tibet. Rachen Gumba was established in the year 1905 AD and is one of the largest nunneries in
the Tsum valley. It is belonging to the Ngak-pa sect. The nunnery houses one thousand clay, mud statues of
Avalokiteshwara, a brightly colored, carved
throne and pillar, and a large prayer wheel. The
interior is richly painted with murals about
Buddhism and its history. We stay overnight at
camp or local house.
Day 10: Trek Rachen Gompa to Dumje
(2,405m) -6 to 7 Hours
Today, we proceed towards Dumje, is small and
scattered settlements with some houses and
adjoining cattle sheds. Dumje is a wide and flat

land, good for cultivation especially barely and
potatoes. Here patches of purple hued amaranth
interspersed with fields of brown barley, dozens
of yaks grazing in grassy meadows, rustic stone
houses hugging the trail, long stretches of hand
carved mani stones and stacked mani walls,
ancient villages dotting the landscape, rock
chortens perched high on ridges, snow-capped
Himalayan peaks scratching the deep blue sky,
high remote mountain passes threading into
Tibet, maroon-robed Buddhist monks and nuns
fingering prayer beads, and hard-working kind-
hearted villagers warmly welcome you into this
scenic and soaring valley where Tibetan culture
is still celebrated today.
Day 11: Trek Dumje to Philim (cross Ripchet) (1,570 m) -6 ½ to 7 ½ Hours
After breakfast, we are heading to Philim and cross Ripchet. We pass one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Lower
Tsum Valley, Samba Tingding Chhupyang. This is the village which lies along the trial from Gumpa Laundang to Philim.
The houses are completely built from stone and roofs are pine wood. The houses are arranged in linear pattern along
the trial. There are a remarkable numbers of Mani walls, Chortens and gateway chortens. We make camp in Philim for
overnight stay.
Day 12: Trek Philim to Tatopani (875m) -6 to 7 Hours
From Phillim we trek to Tatopani (hot springs)
about 6 to 7 hours, most of the trail is downhill.
You can relieve your tired muscles from many
days by soaking yourself in the hot spring. We
make camp here for overnight stay or stay in
local house.
Day 13: Trek Tatopani to Soti Khola (720m) – to
-7 Hours
Today, we pass through terraced fields and
tropical waterfalls cascading off soaring cliffs,

rivers tumbling wildly down precipitous gorges
and finally set up camp at the Soti Khola a Gurung
Village. We stay overnight at camp or local
House.
Day 14: Soti Khola to Arughat Bazar (535m) -6 to
7 Hours
This is our last day trip, as we make our way from
Soti Khola to Arughat Bazaar; we come to the last
leg of our journey. Stay overnight at camp.
Day 15: Drive from Arughat Bazar to Kathmandu
(1,350m) -8 to 9 Hours
We will be ready at 6:00 in the morning to have breakfast. We will drive back to Kathmandu through the road passing
terraces, streams, rivers, local settlements, high hills and along the same road. It takes about 8 to 9 hours (roughly) to
reach your hotel in Kathmandu by bus/private car.

Day 01: Drive Kathmandu to Baluwa / Kalibote
(800m) -8 to 9 hours

Our trekking staff will pick up you at the hotel
early in the morning for the scenic eight to nine
hour drive from Kathmandu to Baluwa via the
historic town of Gorkha, with its old 'durbar', or
King's palace.
Day 02: Trek Kalibot to Barpak (1915m) - 4 to 5
hours
After having breakfast we start another beautiful
day early morning, to avoid the afternoon sun on
the steep long climb up with several chautaras
(rest stops) to the wonderful village of Barpak.
Barpak is a large Ghale (royalty) Gurung village
and is extremely clean with a weekly market, wide passage between the houses, grain and vegetables drying on the
courtyard, several shops, viewpoints and flowers planted along the charming Gurung houses. This places makes for
the photographer’s paradise. We can see Bauddhi Himal, a high, snow capped peak which makes for wonderful
sunrises and sunsets.
Day 03: Trek Barpak to Laprak (2200m) -5 to 6 hours
Today the trekking trail leads us up a picturesque climb through the rhododendron forest and rewarding panoramic
mountains views such as Bauddhi Himal, Shringi Himal, Ganesh Himal and the Langtang range. This is truly a
breathtaking view. After a 5 to 6 hours walk, we arrive down to another large Gurung village, Laprak. Perhaps not
quite as scenic as Barpak but just as interesting. We explore rest of the day, walking down the hill with symbolic
murals on the mud-brick walled houses. People
here are friendly and there is a lot to explore in
Laprak's winding maze of lanes.
Day 04: Trek Larpak to Singla (3,210m) -5 to 6
hours
We descend through agricultural fields below the
Larpak village and cross the suspension bridge.
Afterwards we climb an equally steep trail back
up past terraced fields of pink sorghum. We
contour around several hillsides on a narrow trail

up to a small chorten just below the Singla village.
Day 05: Trek Singla to Korlebesi (875m) -4 to 5
hours
We enjoy the views of the Manaslu Himal, Kutang
Himal and Shringi Himal to the north as we walk
down through along a narrow, winding trail to
Korlebesi on the Buri Gandaki River and make
camp nearby the stream. We will probably get a
visit in the evening from this village's locals and
perhaps have another show.
Day 06: Trek Korlebase to Jagat (1370m) - 5 to 6
hours
After breakfast our journey starts along the river, by tobacco and buckwheat fields, past rocks washed smooth by the
river, often climbing up stone steps, to reach the hot springs in the centre of the small, terraced village of Tatopani
(hot spring). A gentle climb through the forest and spectacular waterfalls, across a suspension bridge and through a
short section of forest path and we reach Dobhan and climb high on stone steps below Jagat, the entrance to the
Manaslu park. Stay overnight camp.
Day 07: Trek Jagat to Philim (1570m) - 3 to 4 hours
Today is enjoyable short day trekking, the long series stone steps trail descending to the river, then climb on
wonderful stone steps along a terraced hill-side to the small hamlet of Saguleri with impressive Shringi Himal (7187m).
The trail splits with the right-hand branch heading
off towards the Ganesh Himal nearby a high
suspension bridge at Gata Khola. Our route
continues upstream, and again we have a steep
climb to reach Philim. We arrive at our green
campsite in time for lunch, and have the
afternoon explore the interesting upper village
and monastery, or sit and enjoy the afternoon at
camp.

Day 14: Trek Dumje to Gumba Lungdang (3,200
m) -4 ½ to 5 Hours
After having breakfast, the trail leads us gradually
up to the Gumba Lungdang. Cross the bridge to
Dhumje (2440m, Tumje) which has a Tibetan
herbal medicine clinic and school. The trail
onwards climbs just behind the health center.
Climb very steeply on an exposed and narrow
unclear trail through pines and rhododendrons
forest until the track starts traversing at a Mani
wall with prayer flags. Finally, in the pine forest,
take an uphill trail and make a steep zigzag climb
through huge silver pines to reach Gumba
Lungdang (3200m), perched on a ridge with small
cells for the nuns through the beautiful
rhododendrons above. This small Gompa with about 50 nuns has an intense and engrossing Puja from 6.00 to 7.30pm
each night. There is no lodge or formal camping area but permission may be obtained to camp in the Gompa forecourt
and use their kitchen h you want set camp. Otherwise, you can have meal with nuns and sleep overnight at Gumba.
The mountain views in around are amazing and with pleasing atmosphere.
Day 15: Trek Gumba Lungdang to GHBC (Ganesh Himal Base Camp) (4,800 m) -4½ to 5 Hours and Back to Gumba
Lungdang (3,200 m) -4 to 5 Hours
This can be a tough day so start early. You will be ready for Ganesh Himal Base Camp with pack lunch, well equipped
and enough water. Here is puzzle trail, so your guide will be required marked often. Circle from the Gompa past the
nuns’ housing, drop on dusty or muddy zigzags to regain the lower trail and continue up valley on a rocky unclear trail
through the forest. Cross the Laudang Khola to the
west bank on a shaky loge bridge and climb steeply
through pristine pines and rhododendrons on a
ridge. There is a hut in a Kharka about halfway up,
with the trail ongoing behind it, then up a birch-
lined dry creek bed and eventually you emerge into
grassy flats behind the lateral moraine of the Toro
Gompa glacier. Continue climbing past seasonal
yak huts and you will find a track on the moraine
wall that gives superb views of the picturesque of
mountains. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to get in the
Ganesh Himal Base Camp (4,800m). Altitude can
make this day complicated compare to others day,
but the intact forest wilderness and views make it

an outstanding trip. Some map shows another
base camp on the east side of the glacier, but
there appears to be no noticeable trail between
them. But you need to return to Gumba
Lungdang in time for the evening puja by
retracing your steps.
Day 16: Trek Gumba Lungdang to Lokpa
(2,240m) -5 to 6 Hours
After having breakfast in Gumba, you will
descend from Gumba Lungdang by the upward
trail. At Dumje cross the Laudang Khola and stay
on the south bank of the Shiar Khola (contrary to
the map). There is no teahouse or Bhatti in
Dumje. Climb over some very deep gorges and wobbly cantilever bridges to picturesque Ripchet (2470m). Take time to
look around at this perched fertile valley of barley and buckwheat with evocative Chortens in the fields backed by pine

ago. Climb again through the pristine temperature forest to Lokpa and enjoy at the teahouse.
Day 17: Trek Lokpa to Tatopani (875m) -7 to 8 Hours
After breakfast, we are heading to Philim and cross Ripchet. We pass one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Lower
Tsum Valley, Samba Tingding Chhupyang. The houses are completely built from stone and roofs are pine wood. The
houses are arranged in linear pattern along the trial. There are a remarkable numbers of Mani walls, Chortens and
gateway Chortens. You can relieve your tired muscles from many days by soaking yourself in the hot spring. We make
camp here for overnight stay or stay in local house.
Day 18: Trek Tatopani to Soti Khola (720m) – to -
7 Hours
Today, we pass through terraced fields and
tropical waterfalls cascading off soaring cliffs,
rivers tumbling wildly down precipitous gorges
and finally set up camp at the Soti Khola a Gurung
Village. We stay overnight at camp or local House.

Day 19: Soti Khola to Arughat Bazaar (535m) -6
to 7 Hours
This is our last day trip, as we make our way from
Soti Khola to Arughat Bazaar; we come to the last
leg of our journey. Stay overnight at camp.
Day 20: Drive from Arughat Bazaar to
Kathmandu (1,350m) -8 to 9 Hours
We will be ready at 6:00 in the morning to have
breakfast. We will drive back to Kathmandu
through the road passing terraces, streams,
rivers, local settlements, high hills and along the
same road. It takes about 8 to 9 hours (roughly)
to reach your hotel in Kathmandu by bus/private car.
Day:
In this pleasant day you may have full day at leisure either relax at hotel or explore the around Thamel. Today is day of
ending your journey, so we would like offer you farewell dinner in Nepali typical Restaurant and hand over you Trip
Certificate, Trekking Permit and TIMS Card for memory of Nepal trip.
Day:
Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives for you until departure
flight/drive. Our assist will be transfer to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards
destination, taking with you the memory of a life time.
Note: If you wish to stay longer, we can offer plenty of suggestions: mountain biking in the Kathmandu valley, Rafting
