Grapheme Explanations

Literacy Map Marking System1. Underline the vowels that say their name (long vowels)2. Underline multiple letter graphemes (refer to

graphemes 27- 54 included)3. Double underline silent letters and graphemes that do

not say what they should.4. A number is placed above a grapheme using it’s 2nd, 3rd,

and 4th sound.5. Final silent “e” words have their own special markings.
