The following is NOT part of the homework it is simply for grapheme review and reference. Grapheme Explanations Literacy Map Marking System 1. Underline the vowels that say their name (long vowels) 2. Underline multiple letter graphemes (refer to graphemes 27- 54 included) 3. Double underline silent letters and graphemes that do not say what they should. 4. A number is placed above a grapheme using it’s 2 nd , 3 rd , and 4 th sound. 5. Final silent “e” words have their own special markings. An explanation will follow each word in the weekly spelling list.
