English Language Institute
The English Language Institute (ELI) of Mercer University is a high caliber English program that will prepare you for undergraduate and graduate programs at some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the United States, including Mercer.
Mercer University is a member of:
American Association of Intensive English Programs (AAIEP)
University and College Intensive English Programs (UCIEP)
Qualifi ed students who fi nish the ELI program can enroll in degree programs without the TOEFL requirement.
Mercer’s ELI program also offers a “Business Prep” program for MBA seeking students.
New ELI enrollments are accepted every two months.

International Admissions
Application for admission to Mercer’s undergraduate programs may be submitted in any given semester. It is recommended to submit your application at least three months prior to your intended date of enrollment.
Mercer’s ELI offers a Bridge Program to assist international students in enrolling in undergraduate courses.
The admission requirements outlined below apply to first-year and transfer students.

Admission Requirements• Application for Undergraduate Admission• TOEFL score of 80, with at least a score of 20
on each section or an IELTS score of 6.5. The successful completion of Mercer’s ELI program waives this requirement.
