INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUNS
• In this lesson you will learn to use INDIRECT OBJECT pronouns.
• First you must learn to distinguish between DIRECT OBJECTS and INDIRECT OBJECTS in sentences.
• Let's look at the following two examples:
INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUNS
Mr. Garcia sent her the money.
DIRECT OBJECT - What he actually sends (money)
INDIRECT OBJECT - Who he sends it to (her)
INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUNS
Decide which is the DIRECT OBJECT and which is the INDIRECT OBJECT in the following sentence.
Mary is going to fix me a sandwich.
Direct object – sandwichThat's what she is going to fix for me.
Indirect object – me Mary is going to fix the sandwich for WHO?.
