These general business conditions are valid for using function and meeting facilities of this club for the purpose of carrying out such activities as well as all other related activities and services. Please read these Terms then fill in the form below and return to the Club
Function Terms and Conditions
ConfirmationConfirmation of your booking must be made in writing together with the deposit (if requested) within 7 days.
Guaranteed NumbersA guaranteed minimum number of guests attending a function is required 3 working days prior to the event. The club will charge for meals prepared in accordance with this number. Meals that are served above this number will also be debited to the function holder.
Room HireRoom Hire is subject to the period required, number of guests in attendance and overall catering requirements. Our functions staff will discuss room hire charges along with your specific requirements.
InsuranceThe club will not accept responsibility for damage or loss of merchandise left in the club prior, during or after functions. Function holders should arrange their own insurance.
Damage to Club PropertyFunction holders are financially responsible for any damages sustained to the club during functions and exhibitions. Use of walls for display materials is not permitted unless prior arrangements are made and subject to zero damage being sustained.
Cancellation by the ClubIf the club has reason to believe that a particular function or meeting will affect the smooth operation of the club, its security, or reputation, the club reserves the right to cancel that function or meeting.
Cancellation by the ClientIf the booking is cancelled within 30 days of the function the full deposit will be forfeited. If less than 30 days notice is given an additional cancellation fee may be incurred. All cancellations must be made in writing.
Audio Visual and Other EquipmentAll audio visual and other equipment will be charged at current prices.
Car ParkingParking is generally available to club members only. Limited parking will be provided to function organisers.
Final PaymentThe final account is due and payable at the completion of the function unless an account has been authorised prior to the event. Payment is to be made by credit card, cash or bank cheque only. Maximum 14 day accounts.
Food and BeverageThe club has an inspiring range of appealing meals to suit all occasions. The clubs policy does not allow for food or beverages to be brought onto the premises for consumption. Menus are subject to change according to seasonal product availability.
Price VariationEvery endeavour is made to maintain published prices, however these may be subject to fluctuations in market prices.
Security and Responsible Service of AlcoholFor the protection of club patrons, a security guard may be required at $50 per hour for the duration of the function subject to the advice of club management. In accordance with our Responsible Service of Alcohol Policy, Chatswood RSL club staff will refuse liquor service if they feel that any person on the premises is approaching intoxication.
DressAttendees must confirm to the club’s dress code of being neat, clean and tidy. The club reserves the right to refuse entry to any patron without giving a reason.
