DESIGN CONCEPT
Curtis cabs feature an assembly of parts designed for your vehicle which require adjustment and alignment of components to accommodate vehicle variations and provide proper weather protection. For accurate installation, proper operation, and years of satisfaction, please read and understand the installation instructions. From all of us at Curtis, we thank you for choosing our product.
CAB INSTALLATION BEFORE YOU START HELPFUL REMINDERS: A. Refer to parts diagram toward the back of this manual to help identify parts during the assembly process. B. To assist with the cab installation, leave all bolts loose for later adjustment unless otherwise specified. C. Read and understand all instructions before beginning. D. Plastic washers have been supplied to provide a weather seal under the heads of all exterior bolts. The plastic washer should be installed under each bolt head directly against the outside cab surface. Care should be taken not to over tighten the fast- eners and damage the plastic washer. Also use steel washers as required. See diagram. E. Apply a clear silicone sealant to seal any minor gaps that may occur due to vehicle variations. F. Use caution to avoid damaging the factory installed threaded inserts. Begin the bolt engagement by hand to avoid or correct potential cross threading. TOOLS REQUIRED:
Exposure to Carbon Monoxide can Cause illness, serious injury or death. Never
operate vehicle if suspicious of Carbon Monoxide. Inspect exhaust system for leaks monthly. Leaks can result from loose connections, corrosion, cracks or other damage to the exhaust manifold. If leaks are found, repair or replace exhaust system. Do not use vehicle until repair or replacement is complete.

7. ROOF
7.1 With assistance, position the roof with the reflectors at the back of the tractor. Per figure 7.1, latch the latches at the back of the roof onto the pins on the side frame.
7.2 Per figure 7.2, install the left and right pin hinges into the hinge sleeves on the underside of the roof. Attach to the windshield support with four 1/4" hex head bolts, washers, and lock nuts (washers to be on inside of cab). Make sure sides of roof are parallel with and centered on side frame and tighten the hinges. The roof latches are two position latches and should click into the second position, without leaving any gaps between the headliner of the roof and the top of the side frames, during normal operation of the roof. If necessary, the latches can be adjusted up and down to get a better seal or latch more easily. 7.3 With assistance, lift up on the back of the roof and install the supplied gas springs, with the rod end down, as shown in figure 7.3 NOTE: For backhoe operation remove rear curtain (see step 8) and release latches hinging roof up for backhoe operation. 8. REAR CURTAIN
8.1 Install six of the supplied nut covers on the nuts on the rear mounts and roll bar brackets. 8.2 Attach the supplied adhesive backed velcro to the velcro on the bottom of the rear curtain cutting into strips as required. 8.3 Per figure 8.3, snap the top of the rear curtain (the edge opposite the velcro) to the inside of the roof, letting it hang between the rear mounts, roll bar bracket mounts and side frames. Guide into place as you lower and latch the roof. 8.4 Snap sides of curtain to back of side frame. 8.5 Position the curtain along the fender of the tractor and attach adhesive backed velcro to the tractor as shown in figure 8.5 Note: adhesive-backed velcro should be ap-plied to a clean, dry surface at room temperature.

10. DOORS
10.1 Apply grease to the pin hinges. With assistance, re-install the doors onto the pin hinges. Work the doors back and forth until the hinges are completely seated. If necessary, spe-cific adjustments can be made per the steps below. Note: the top of the door should end up visually parallel with the side of the roof. Note: the door latch is a rotary type with two posi-tions to close. Adjust door so that when fully closed door latch clicks twice for total engagement.
10.2 Per fig. 10.2, the large striker bolt and nut can be loos-ened and reset higher or lower, in or out for better engagement and door seal. Use two 19mm open end wrenches. Note: fin-ger guard to end up being centered and facing inward.
10.3 Per fig. 10.3, the 1/4-20 hex head bolts on the door hinges can be loosened on the rear tube, or on the door itself, or in both places, in order to rotate or move the door up or down and forward or backward as necessary for proper align-ment with side frame. Note: An assistant will be needed for this step. Keep the hinge sleeves fully seated on the pin hing-es. Tighten all hinge bolts using caution to not over tighten. Over tightening will crush (damage) the structural tubing. Torque to 40 inch-pounds.
10.4 Per fig. 10.4, the inside latch can be moved forward or back for proper engagement with the striker bolt. Loosen the two hex head bolts shown to move the latch. Re-tighten bolts.
CAUTION: FOR SAFE OPERATION, DO NOT DRIVE WITH DOORS OPEN. MAKE SURE DOORS ARE CLOSED AND PROPERLY LATCHED WHEN DRIV-ING.
11. DOOR Stops
11.1 For soft sided doors, install the supplied vinyl coated cable door stops between the upper bracket on the doors and the upper bracket on the side frames. Use the following hard-ware: four 5/16-18 x 3/4” long hex head bolts, four steel washers, and four locknuts. Do not tighten down firmly. Al-low for free pivoting.
11.2 For hard sided doors, install the supplied gas shocks to the factory installed ball studs on the side frames and doors with the small piston end towards the door.
12. CARE AND MAINTENANCE
12.1 Check and tighten hardware after 40 hours of opera-tion. Periodically inspect and tighten hardware for the remain-der of the unit’s life.
12.2 Wash the painted surfaces of the unit with commercial automotive cleaning products.
12.3 Clean windows with glass cleaner.
12.4 Vinyl components should be washed with a mild solu-tion of warm soapy water.
12.5 Clear vinyl can be easily scratched. Be careful cleaning frost or snow from windows. Do not roll curtains in cold weather. The windows become stiff and may crack. Keep win-dows clean.
