Expectations

EILEENFISHER

Audit scores and materials ratings would be easy totranslate into rankings.

Human rights indicators would be easily definable.

We thought our textiles ratings would be lower thanthey actually are.

Challenges

EILEENFISHER

Need better (i.e. more consistent) indicators, especially in human rights area.

Need to include other factors besides SA8000indicators (such as productivity and quality).

Need to go further down the supply chain andmeasure eco-impact of sewing/knitting factories

Next Steps

EILEENFISHER

Gather feedback about matrix.

Determine best visual and best mode(s) ofcommunication (website, hang-tag, in-store signage, etc.).

Refine metrics and method of data collection.

Expand to include broader range of fabrics and entire1st tier supply chain.
