btrex Industries offers a full range of fabricating
Aservices. Carbon steel, stainless steel and other alloys can all be welded by our team of AWS- and ASME-
certified welders. From simple dipping tanks to complex components for the mining and power generation industries, Abtrex is prepared to meet the most stringent requirements.
We can build to your prints or we can engineer equipment to your specifications. Our ISO9001:2008 quality management system ensures that meticulous attention is paid to every detail. Prints are rendered from 3D models generated with Solidworks. After prints are approved and released to the shop floor, our welders bring the plan to fruition.
Throughout the workflow, quality and adherence to drawing specifications are constantly monitored to ensure that the jobs are completed as you intended and on time.
Whether you consider Abtrex rubber liners who fabricate, or fabricators who rubber line, it makes no difference. Abtrex is your one stop shop for fabricated and rubber-lined process equipment, saving you time, freight and handling costs. Call your Abtrex sales representative today to find out more.

RUBBER TYPES
Soft Natural: This refers to natural rubber compounds usually in the range
of 35 to 65 Shore A durometer hardness.
Semi-Hard Natual: A classification of rubber with a face stock in the range
of 80 to 95 Shore A durometer. Semi-hard rubbers are normally backed
with a soft rubber tie gum. The semi-hard face stock offers strong
chemical resistance, while the soft rubber backing provides good
adhesion.
Hard Natural (Ebonite): Comprised of rubber compounds with a face stock
that has sulfur content exceeding 40 parts and has a Shore A durometer
rating of 100 or more.
Chlorobutyl: A derivative of butyl rubber containing about 1% chlorine. With
excellent impermeability to gases and good heat resistance. Hardness is
typically in the range of 45 to 65 Shore A durometer.
Neoprene: Synthetic rubber produced by the polymerization of
chloroprene. Shore A durometer range between 35 and 80. Good
resistance to oils, heat and caustic solutions.
Also Available: Nitrile, Hypalon, EPDM, Custom Formulations
rubber lining system is only as good as the installation. Abtrex Industries
Ahas a staff of experienced rubber lining professionals applying quality, cost-effective and durable rubber linings using the latest technology and
industry-standard best practices. With the proper rubber lining, process equipment such as tanks and pipe assemblies, can be fortified to withstand abrasive and corrosive service conditions.
There are two type of abrasion: sliding and impingement. Rubber can reduce the effects of both. Sliding abrasion is the passing of particles across the rubber surface. Impingement abrasion occurs when particles strike the rubber surface. Engineering concerns affecting impingement are particle size, velocity and the distance particles are free-falling.
Rubber compounds are engineered for chemical resistance protecting your equipment from a wide variety of acids and oxidizing agents. Temperature, chemical composition and concentration of the materials being conveyed are factors that will determine the best compound for a given application.
Abtrex is an approved applicator for Blair Rubber Company (Goodyear), Polycorp (B.F. Goodrich) and RubberSource (Uniroyal). Rubber linings are inspected per our ISO 9001:2008-certified quality management system and tested per ASTM standards.
In our shop or in the field, let our team of experts select and install the proper lining for your application. Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Piping
