ANALYSIS:

The text is very simple and effective as you can see from the previous slide.

This is an extreme long shot showing us the location and is an insight in the movie because it shows us the house that the character James bond grew up. Furthermore you can see graves surrounding the house and this gives yo a clear indication that many people are going to die in the film like in any other James Bond however in this particular film someone very close to him passes away in the closing scenes.

GONE GIRL.

TITLE

The title of this particular psychological thriller is “ gone girl “ and this suggests that the movie and the book is about a girl who is missing.

LOCATIONS.

LOCATIONS:

There are two locations in the title sequence of this particular films the first one is in her bed room as she is writing in her diary and the second one is on a river side just after the sun has set. To back up my points the evidence is on the previous slide.

COSTUME.

As you can clearly see the from the previous slide what she is wearing shows that she is a normal person and she is from a modern world such as a western country such as America or even from a civilised modern world country in Europe such as France or England, this consume also suggests that she takes pride in what she is wearing.

CAMERAWORK

CAMERAWORK

Nearly all the shots that are filmed in the title sequence are extreme close ups consequently this gives the audience a good idea of what is going on due to the detailing Camerawork.

Furthermore some of the shots are split screened giving us a large amount of detail as well as giving the audience another view point on the current event.

The only establishing shots in the title sequence are of the locations showing the audience where the movie takes place.

TITLES.

TITLES

The title and font are extremely simplistic and in the opening shot of the title sequence the grey writing contrasts with the white background to make it stand out and be more eye catching.

STORY.

STORY

The opening sets up the story very nicely because it shows that this normal older women living in New York is very happy with her life. This shows a state of equilibrium. (a state in which opposing forces or influences are balanced)

GENRE.

The opening is very normal and very modern and suggests nothing is wrong unlike most psychological thrillers. This is good because it does not prepare the audience for the twists in the story.

CHARICTERS.

The opening title sequence suggests that the main character “ Amy “ is a very hard working person due to the amount of writing and work she was doing as well as very clean I think this because we see her mopping the floors. We also see her drinking wine as many people do this shows that she is very normal and enjoys having a drink once in a while.

SPECIAL EFFECTS.

SPECIAL EFFECTS.

The only special effect in the opening title sequence was a split screening technique and as I have stated in a previous slide is a good technical aspect to have as it shows a large amount of detail and gives the audience a separate view point.
