The meeting was attendedby all the HoDs fromFaculty of Agriculture,Faculty of Basic Sciencesand School of Biotechnologyin which various issues per-taining to the developmentof different divisions locatedat Chatha were discussed.

The house expressedunanimously for theimprovement of contractsystem for providing labourto Scientists/Teachers as inthe present system credibili-ty of contractor and trustdeficit of the labour haswidened that creating a lotof problems for the

Institution. Moreover, scientists are

arranging and engaging thelabour with their ownefforts and labour contractin a system as a whole isdrawing unnecessary bene-fits in the form of commis-sion without any effort.

It was impressed thatthere should be better coor-dination between the univer-sity units for speedy settle-ment of financial claims forvisiting faculty and externalexaminers thereby avoidingdelay in disbursement of thesame to the concerned.

Various other agendasrelated to budget allotment,balance statement, organi-sation of talk series for fac-ulty etc were also deliberat-ed in the meeting for theoverall welfare, better func-tioning and progress of divi-sions and several sugges-tions were made by thehouse for improvement of

the same. Dr. Vikas informed the

house members that associ-ation is trying its level bestto solve each and everyproblem related to teachersand further assured that theissues will be taken up withCompetent Authority andsolved very soon.
