BACKGROUND Jockey Club HSBC WWF Hong Kong Hoi Ha Marine Life Centre (MLC) was officially opened in 2008 in Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park. It is one of the Hong Kong’s first designated Marine Parks in Hong Kong in 1996. It is recognized as a unique site due to its rich diversity of marine life. The establishment of MLC provides access to the priceless marine resource for enjoyment and education. II. THE PROGRAMME WWF has developed the MARINE EDUCATION PROGRAMME (Community Group) for community centres, uniform groups and students from tertiary institutes. Through a half-day hands-on experience, participants will be able to explore the coastal environment and marine life in Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park. With various marine themed activities provided, person-in-charge could choose according to the needs of the group. Person-in-charge could choose either Programme A with choices of activities to select OR Programme B with a series of activities that make up a fish’s story. “Training mode” could be selected for leaders of uniform groups/ environmental ambassadors to learn more about nature interpretation and activities leading skills. WWF Hoi Ha Marine Education Programme (Community Group) Information Sheet

Remarks * Outdoor activities at Hoi Ha Wan beach, may be affected by weather condition # Only tide height under 1.3 meters is suitable for beach exploration, please check Hong Kong

III. BOOKING INFORMATION

Programme Fee : HK$6,500 per group (discounted price)

Date of Programme : Mondays to Sundays except Wednesdays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and the first 3 days of the Lunar New Year

Duration : AM session: 09:30 to 13:00 PM session: 13:00 to 16:30

Guidance : Experienced WWF Education Interpreter

Group Size : 20 - 38 people per group (including person in-charge)

IMPORTANT REMINDERS, PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: 1. Please submit an individual application form for each visit programme application. All applications

will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis. Programme should be booked 2-months in advance; applicant can be reserved programme for 6 months in advance.

2. Applicants will be notified of their application result by fax. Payment by cheque will be requested once the application is successful.
