Hairs were Afar
the hairs were afar
then strangers came home
and opened the sky

Then a Rat
a conversation which began with
angels licking a vowel

there was enough
to keep my bones white

he says no to the life of an elevator

huzzahs light as flesh

today my mother
enters the ox

where
my tongue and me

Id Be
I'd be an ox
fed on an ox
if it werent for the ox

Great! He Says

there's a small screwed-up eye
looking to reheat
their shuffling fur

Xylophones Have Those
xylophones have those shoulders
and really big balls
smash them!
a single emotion makes for
cleanliness
but we wash and fall like stars
in our own underbrush
nuzzle our punch clock rippling minds

crisp packets can sound like footsteps
from which architects flinch, keeping clear
the fire-exit dematerialising at touch
we compulsorily purchase Debenhams
knock it right down; lay a warren
of new streets; maps become redundant
a heart as A-Z page torn, blown down
Back Piccadilly; new places are found to stand
chasing it we are thrown up abroad
no, this is imperative; beyond choosing now
I dont recognise Manchester anymore
buildings shift and recombine and
spacecraft hover.
