Because wiSTAR devices are self-powered and require no wires to operate, devices can be freely positioned making for versatile layouts. Compared to a wired solution, buildings can be planned, constructed and operated with greater flexibility and at a lower cost. With wireless technology, wiSTAR components install easily into existing buildings without the need to completely rewire the space. This makes the system ideal for adding lighting controls to areas that have traditionally been difficult to retrofit, including historical buildings.

wiSTAR controls are a wireless, self-powered system designed for stand-alone, indoor applications such as offices, conference rooms, break rooms, classrooms and much, much more. From retrofitting older structures to designing new buildings, this is your easiest way to ensure flexibility, energy savings, and cost reductions to almost any space.

Utilizing the EnOcean Technology Platform, wiSTAR devices harvest energy from their surroundings – tiny changes in movement or light are all that is needed. The wall switches use the linear motion of the button push to create the power needed to send a signal to operate the lights. Sensors have tiny solar cells that convert light into the power they need to do the same thing. These solar cells work off of any light source and the converted energy is stored for operation during times with no light.

Modules turn lights and motors on and off based on signals received from the input devices they are paired to.

APPLIC ATIONS

• Office Buildings• Hotels• Residential Buildings• Hospitals• Retail Buildings• Schools• Industrial Buildings • Historical Buildings

1 In-Line Switch Module | Once this module receives a signal from any input device, it can react individually or as a part of a scene. The only wired device in the system, this module can be flexibly installed either in or attached to a junction box. 15A @ 120VAC / 277VAC, ½ HP motor rating.

2 Wall Switch | Non-battery wireless rocker switches control lighting and other loads. With no wires, the wall switch can be surface mounted on any surface, or installed in a standard wall box. It utilizes standard Decorator face plates and is UL approved for use as a 3rd party switch.

3 Occupancy Sensors | The occupancy sensor turns off lights when a room is not in use. It uses an ultra-efficient PIR design with 180° (wall) or 360° (ceiling) lenses. It has 100 hours of operation in the dark when fully charged. Detection range of 80ft (wall) or 40ft diameter (ceiling).

4 Daylight Sensor | Non-battery daylight sensor allows for daylight harvesting. The sensor supports light levels from 0 to 94.8 foot candles.

5 Plug-In Switch Module | Provides plug load control of lamps and plug-in electronics such as computer monitors, printers, coffee makers, etc. This device is ideal for battling the energy costs associated with “Phantom Loads”. The module plugs into a standard outlet via standard male plug. UL approved for general purpose, resistive, and motor loads. 15A @ 120VAC, ½ HP motor rating. 80ft

Key Card Switch | Switch transmits occupancy based on key card being inserted or removed. It transmits only on insertion or removal of keycard. Although used primarily in the hospitality market, there are many possible uses for this switch.
