The inlaid shears after it has been hardened, tempered, and ground. It is now ready for polishing, edging, and assembly with its mate (of exact hardness) and finishing.

SHEARS AND SCISSORS TERMS (do not apply to Replacement Parts)

PRICES

All orders are subject to acceptance by the home office (Newark, N . J. 07l07), at prices ruling at time of shipment. Prices are subject to change without notice.

MINIMUM ORDERS

The minimum quantity for any model or size is six pairs and all orders should be for six pairs or multiples thereof.

SMALL. ORDERS

Small orders for less than a total of 18 pairs of shears and scissors or any combination of Shears and Scissors, Garden Shears and Tinners' Snips will be subject to a $2.50 service charge.

PAYMENT TERMS

Our terms are 2% lOth prox., net 25th. No allowance for payment in anticipation of the due date. Billing closes on the 25th of each month.

SHIPPING TERMS

All shipments are F.O.B. Factory, Newark, N.J. 07107, or Maplewood, N . J. On shipm~nts qualifying for freight allowance freight is allowed to your home city within the continental United States, Alaska excluded, at the lowest available overland freight rates, excluding delivery charges at destination . We do not make prepaid shipments except on Government orders, as noted under "Drop Shipments."

We reserve the right to designate the carrier and to limit the freight allowance to the most favorable rate. Freight allowance is deducted by us from invoice. Any claims for adjustment must be presented within six months of invoice date.

On export orders that qualify for freight allowance freight is allowed to the loading port within the continental United States, excluding Alaska.

(1) FREIGHT ALLOWANCE

Orders for shears and scissors qualify for freight allowance if the order weighs 50 lbs. , or if the net value of the order is $300.00. The freight allowance will be deducted by us from the invoice.

(2) COMBINATION FREIGHT ALLOWANCE

Freight allowance on combination commodity classification of:

1. Shears and Scissors 2 . Tinners' Snips 3. Garden Shears

Garden Shears as well as Tinners' Snips may be included with Shears and Scissors for freight allowance as follows:

Garden Shears and Tinners' Snips qualify for freight allowance as follows:

( 3) DROP SHIPMENTS

Freight allowance will not exceed the lowest prevailing rate to wholesalers' home city. When rate to the direct shipping point is lower, only that rate will be allowed. Drop shipments to distributors' customers will be made if the shipment qualifies for freight allowanc~~

If in a combination drop shipment that does not qualify for freight allowance, there is an individual commodity that would qualify for freight allowance when

shipped by itself, freight will be allowed on that commodity only.

Any drop shipments not qualifying for full freight allowance will be subject to a service charge of $5.00.

Exception: Drop shipments to Municipal, State and Federal Agencies will be prepaid and freight charges added to customers' invoice if shipment does not qualify for freight allowance.

SHORTAGE OR DAMAGE

All goods are sold F.O.B. Factory, Maplewood, N. J., or Newark, N. J . In case any shortage or damage incurred during transportation is detected, notify the delivering transportation agent at once and file claim promptly. Our responsibility for delivery of goods ends when we have our signed bill of lading by our local transportation agent. Upon customer request, replacement shipment will be made subject to general terms and conditions of a new order.

GUARANTEE

All WISS products are fully guaranteed against defects in workmanship or material.

QUALITY AND REPLACEMENT

All WISS Shears and Scissors are carefully inspected before leaving the factory. Any article claimed defective in workmanship or material must be returned to the factory , transportation charges prepaid. If we determine the item is defective, it will be replaced free of charge, or your account will be credited accordingly. If the item has been abused and is not defective, it will not be replaced free of charge but may be repaired at customers' expense upon obtaining permission from customer. Under no circumstances are we responsible for any damage beyond the price of the goods. No damages or charges of any kind, either for labor, expenses or other costs suffered or incurred by the customer in repairing or replacing defective goods or occasioned by them, will be allowed.

FORCE MA.JEURE

J . Wiss & Sons Co., shall be excused from failure to perform its contract in the event of fire, strike, labor dispute, war, embargo, transportation delay, materials shortage, failure of carrier, contractor or supplier to perform, act of God, requirement or request of any Federal or State Government or any sub-division thereof, or any cause beyond the control of the seller.

RETURNS

No merchandise may be returned without authorization of the home office. Authorized returns must be made prepaid.

Credit for returned merchandise shall be issued at prices paid or current prices, whichever is lower, from which we shall deduct the following charges: Outgoing freight charges, if any; a ten per cent restocking charge; reasonable charge to recondition the merchandise if necessary to put in salable condition.

No merchandise can be returned that has been out of the factory 12 months or longer. Merchandise that has been discontinued in our catalog or price sheet may not be returned under any circumstances.

NOTE

Any tax or government charge that may hereafter become effective and/or be im~osed by Federal, State or Municipal authorities upon production, sale or shipment of these products shall be added to these prices and paid by buyer.
