JD/CP: David Cloud reported that years ago you

attended a meeting with Thomas Nelson Publishers

regarding the release of the New King James Version. Can

you tell us about that?

KD: Yes, it took place before the New King James was released. It

was hosted by one of the largest independent Christian bookstores

east of the Mississippi river. There were about 300 of us gathered at

an airport conference room. The Thomas Nelson people came to

present the New King James. I was friends with the owner of the

bookstore so he seated me next to the brother of John Kohlenberger.

(I was told at the time that John Kohlenberger was a translator of the

NIV-he used, championed, and commented on the NIV.) rev 5-17-20.

showing us a filmstrip detailing the history of the King James Bible.

Then he made a statement that I can’t exactly quote but I can in

substance. He said “Folks, we are educated people here and what I

that the King James bible is an inferior translation based on inferior

texts. But every time we have attempted to give your people a more

accurate bible, they won’t accept it. So we have gone back into the

King James bible (received text) and have introduced a few

changes in the name of modernizing it to provide you with a

transitional bridge.” To get your people from the King James

bible so eventually they will accept a more accurate bible. Once

I heard that, I have never really given the New King James bible a fair

hearing because I felt it was based on deceitful purposes.

KD: Received well. It was not a group of fundamentalist. It was

Evangelicals and perhaps Catholics (but I don’t remember. In general,

that?

KD: I don’t know that they did, I did not. I was not established in the

ministry and I did not feel like I had the grounds and the information to

do that.

JD/CP: How long was this before they released the New King James?

KD: Not very long before they released it because they gave every

one of us a sample of a hard bound copy of the New king James. So it

was close to publication. They offered us a good rate if we would buy

them and put them in our church pews.

I guess, a businessman?

HINDERY: Lots of demons, lots of devilsthat have always caused me to want to succeed. I

early influences came from the Jesuits. I was

Jesuit trained at both the high school level and at

college, and that was a discipline and an

environment that sort of forced you to excel,

Desolation is a highly deceptive false bible. This is taught

over and over and over in scripture and cannot be discerned

with Babylon’s merchandise (her false bibles) since the

words have been changed with subtilty. Many will be

deceived and will swear an oath that the Abomination of

Desolation is the word of God. They will be caused to

receive the mark of the beast by their words. An assembly

of nations will hate the whore and burn her with fire. Will

this render her biblical abominations obsolete?
