What Is Microsoft 365 Education?

▪ Anchor Bay School District is now a Microsoft School. (Microsoft’s version of a Google District/Account – Google Docs, drive, etc…)

▪ Each teacher has an account through ABSD.

▪ This account gives you access to an online space where you can:– Save documents to the cloud to allow access from anywhere– Real-Time Collaboration with colleagues (& coming soon - students)– Share documents with anyone– Utilize the online versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, &

One Note

▪ Additional features such as online calendars, task lists, and much more!

Setting Up/Accessing Your ABSD MS 365 Account:

Step One:• Go to the log in page:

http:login.microsoftonline.com

• Find your ABSD issued account user name and password. Enter in the appropriate boxes.

• Click the ‘sign in’ button.

Step Two:• Re-enter your ABSD issued

password in the ‘old password’ box.

• Create a new password and enter it once in the ‘new password’ box and again in the ‘confirm password’ box.

Student Accounts – Coming Soon!:

▪ Exact Details are still being worked out; however, most likely just upper elementary and secondary will use it for now.

▪ You will be able to exchange email with your students.

▪ Students will ONLY be able to receive email from @anchorbay.onmicrosoft.com accounts. (If you try to send them an email from your @abs.misd.net email or any other account it will get rejected.)

▪ Students can also share documents with teachers and other students. This will allow collaboration on files in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. (ideas: create collaborative lists, peer editing/revision/reviews, take a survey, create a group presentation on a given topic, etc…)
