What is Team Development Coaching? A true team is a powerful structure for achieving an important business mission. In a true team, the members act in a unitary way, with One Mission, One Voice, One Heart and One Head. How does a Coach work with a Team? The Coach works with the team as an entity (not as a collection of individuals) to develop the capacity to act as a team. Team members start by clarifying the Team’s identity, mission and purpose. Though a series of modules over the course of several months, the members deepen their capacity to have the right conversations to achieve the mission, make strategic choices, take action to execute the strategy, and learn from their experience. The modules are: 1. Introduction to the model and the process. 2. Creating One Mission: Team Identity/Brand, Mission, Business Strategy and Goals. 3. Creating One Voice: Language, communication and conflict. 4. Creating One Heart: Values, norms, trust. 5. Creating One Head: Decision-making and execution. Additional module are available, including cross- boundary communication, personality and work styles, and getting past being stuck. When is Team Development Coaching most valuable? Launching a new team to tackle a business challenge. Integrating teams following a reorganization or merger. Developing the “muscle” of an existing team to take on bigger challenges. What is Team Development Coaching?
