Afghan Association Paiwand (Paiwand) is a registered charity and limited company founded in 2002. Main duties and responsibilities

To oversee and support 14 young residents; To conduct needs assessments with young people; To draw up Action Plans in accordance with social services’ outcomes for each child and

ensuring their progress; To signpost and liaise with relevant professionals on behalf of each young person; Key work duties for young people, including scheduling and assigning some key work duties

to Accommodation & Development Manager; To be the main point of contact for individual social workers from looked-after children

teams; Monthly reporting on each child’s progress to Community Engagement Manager; Monthly reporting on each child’s progress to social services; To attend LAC review meetings and follow up on actions discussed; To maintain accurate files for each young person, including action plans and copies of all

important documents; To be on-call on designated evenings and/or weekends; To run monthly life skills workshops (CV writing, mental wellbeing, sexual health, etc.) for

residents from each house.

Monitoring and Evaluation

To report monthly and annually to the line manager; To participate in the collection of data for monitoring and evaluation of Paiwand’s supported

accommodation services; To maintain the confidentiality of clients with external parties at all times unless authorised

otherwise by the line manager.

General

To attend and participate in regular supervision with the line manager; To take part in training and professional development; To attend team meetings; To participate in cover arrangements for absent colleagues; To carry out other relevant duties at the request of the line manager;

To be flexible in working hours – occasional evening and weekend work will be required for which time off in lieu will be given. The Wellbeing and Support Manager is encouraged to work flexitime and manage his/her own schedule to ensure he/she is not working excessive overtime.

Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in an accessible way to service users, statutory service professionals, funders and other external bodies. E
