“Welcome to Daventry and on behalf of Daventry Town Council I hope that you enjoy our first ever Food Festival. I’m so pleased that many local and town traders have embraced the Food Festival as it is so important to support and celebrate the diversity of food and drink on offer in Daventry. Daventry will showcase over fifty different stands, all here to tempt you with offerings ranging from traditional fare to the exotic. For those with a sweet tooth, you won’t be disappointed, cakes, pudding and sweets to entice you into a little indulgence. We’ve not forgotten you’ll need a drink too, craft beers, ciders, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages of all kinds will be available. Dare I mention a little Christmas shopping for foodie family and friends? Please visit our showcase kitchen (located in the High Street) to see live demonstrations and join Martin Heath from BBC Radio Northampton as he interviews the traders and highlights what’s on offer. If this is your first visit to Daventry, I hope you will also take time to explore and enjoy discovering places such as Bishop’s Court,

with a variety of courtyard shops. Sheaf Street with its cobbles, alleyways and independent shops. Foundry Place with its artisan cafés, and Bowen Square offering a wide range of High Street retailers. All this along with ample free parking seven days a week. Farmer Lou LtdFarmer Lou was started by Louise Fitzhugh where she farmed in Ashby St Ledgers in Northamptonshire with 2 lambs and 4 pigs, her sole intention then is still is today to produce high quality meat products from her own animals. The business started selling sausages at local farmers markets and village shows to today where she has grown to supplying pubs, restaurants, and doing hog roasts at various events as well as providing the meat for the players and staff of Northampton Saints. Today Lou’s flock is now nearly 200 sheep, along with 70 pigs and 90 beef cattle.

Get Toastie are a small family run business selling primarily, a range of freshly made hot toasted sandwiches ranging from the staple cheese toastie through to a range of specials incorporating chilli, pulled pork and barbeque chicken. We also operate a small festival style stand selling freshly made hot mini donuts finished in a choice of either sugar or sugar & cinnamon. We can also offer a wide selection of cold drinks as well as tea & coffee and a wide selection of confectionaries via our mobile catering facility.

Go GreekGo Greek sell a variety of Greek food. Everything is fresh and tasty! We prepare everything fresh, and we work with a barbecue, making lamb, chicken, pork and pork sausage, all the them are Greek production. We also have Greek salad, Greek feta and halloumi cheese ready to fill in your pita bread but use it as a topping on the salad as well. Fresh and healthy vegetables cooked on the barbecue and salad. Our sauce is tzatziki made from greek yogurt. It’s tasty, healthy and everyone (vegetarians as well) can have it anytime, the name of it GREEK SOUVLAKI!!!!

Pastures PoultryOur farm shop opened in 2015 and we have a lovely little cafe selling all our homemade produce, from a slice of delicious cake to a warm handmade pasty and salad plus regular specials. We always have a range of fresh and frozen poultry as well as homemade pies, pasties, sausage rolls, quiche, cakes, puddings and homemade preserves. We source beef, lamb and pork from local producers and keep a range local of cheeses, milk, ice cream.

Mercure HotelThe four-star Mercure Daventry Court Hotel (part of Accor Hotels) is set in picturesque grounds complete with an inner courtyard, with 155 bedrooms and is an ideal location for business and leisure. An extensive bedroom renovation programme was completed late last year with all 155 bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms being upgraded. The facilities include a restaurant, bar, meeting room facilities for up to 700 guests along with a fitness centre with indoor heated swimming and spa pools, sauna and steam room. Free wifi is available in all rooms and there is ample free on-site parking.

Incredible EdiblesIncredible Edibles is a bespoke catering company based at Daventry & District Golf Club. We currently specialise in Corporate Events, Private Parties and Pop-up Bistros. In January, we joined Early Doors Micro Pub to host an ‘Around The World Bistro Night’ twice a month which has proven to be a great success. Continuing this theme and the Mexico evening coming up in October we will be serving you Chicken Tacos and Chilli Burritos with all the trimmings at food festival.

Sona FoodWe are a small business based in Leicester city centre and catering over 50 cafes, delis, newsagents and such throughout the Leicestershire area. We are providing pure Indian snack foods made using our home made recipes and fresh homemade pastry. We are visiting many beautiful areas around East Midlands and taking part in local community events and food festivals. We hope to see you very soon!

The group provides help, support and advice for anyone wishing to reduce their meat and fish consumption, or move towards a completely plant-based diet and lifestyle. Support is also given to many animal rights and protection campaigns. Members organise the annual Dav Vegfest & Cruelty-free Market in May, along with taking part in local festivals, fetes and similar activities to show visitors vegetarian and vegan alternatives.

My Sweet TheoryWe are the re-inventers of the chocolate world and the creators of anything sweet and delicious. Our story begins with me Jack Fitzgerald a young chef who has worked seen all sides of the food industry. My Sweet Theory, a company that breaks the mould of what chocolate should be and we think that’s how chocolate and sweets should be, we think they should be an idea of whatever you want it to be, from salted caramel to lemon truffles, we want you to experience whatever your inner chocoholic desires.

Dobson’s DelhiSpecialises in Authentic Indian food that has evolved from a strong westernised influence, for example meat samosas and onion bhajis. By far very few places make traditional Indian snacks...even the traditional eat out places don’t use the old methods or recipes. No longer is the pastry made by hand nor is curried, it’s too costly and time consuming, it has evolved into a mild pastry triangle and the bhaajis have become stodgy and round. Authentic bhaajis are crispy and light nor are they round.
