We want your time with us to be meaningful and worshipful. Our services include worship through song, sharing in Communion and an offering, along with a message from God’s Word. There will be an invitation to respond to the message as God may lead you. Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is observed each Sunday following the example of the early church. The bread and juice represent the body and blood of Christ offered in our place on the cross. All immersed believers are invited to take part. Please hold the bread and cup to participate in unison. For your convenience, we offer online giving via our website, www.centervillechurch.com. On the home page, click on my ccc on the bottom left to go to the page with instructions on how to set up an account. Please be aware, the church pays a small fee for the online giving transactions. If you are a guest, you are not expected to participate in the offering, but are welcome to. Sewing Class- Our next sewing class will be held on Saturday,

December 1st, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. The class is for 4th grade and

older, however if you are an adult who would like to learn to quilt,

please come at Noon that day. Everyone needs to bring basic sewing

supplies and a sewing machine, if you have one. We have a few that

have been donated, but only 3 or 4. If you are planning to attend

(children and/or adults), please contact Myra Baldwin:

ahead of time how many will be attending.

Thank you to everyone who filled shoeboxes for Operation

Christmas Child. 201 boxes were collected. Thank you for making a

child’s Christmas more memorable.

If you took food to Paul & AJ Chew, look in the basement kitchen

for any plastic containers that may belong to you.

Food Pantry- With the holidays upon us, the

people coming to the food pantry increases. If

you wish, you may donate items that many

people normally use for a holiday dinner such as

cranberry sauce, pumpkin puree or pumpkin pie

filling, sweet potatoes/yams, jars of gravy, boxed

stuffing mixes, cake/cookie mixes, boxed

pudding, hot chocolate mixes, etc. Bring

donations to the church office. Thank you!

Start your holidays with Christmas at the Gennett Mansion-

1829 E. Main Street, Richmond. Thursday, November 29th, 5:00 -

7:00 PM. $10 per person- enjoy music, hors d’eouvres, cash wine

bar and a silent auction. Tickets available at The Wayne County

Foundation Office (33 S. 7th). Or call: 765/962-2860 or Email:

[email protected].

Updates to church directory- If you have a change in address,

phone # or email that is different than what is printed in the 2016

church directory, please inform the church office. We would like to

have the updates by the beginning of December. You may call,

If you would love to be a part of making a

child’s Christmas special, please consider

taking an ornament from our tree in the foyer.

All names of children are from our local

school systems. All the information and

instructions are posted beside the Giving

Tree. If you are unable to shop, but would

like to donate, please contact Jan Frye or

Marlena Sewell. We can do the shopping for

you. We can also use donations of wrapping

paper, bows, tags and tape to wrap the

presents with. If you can donate any, please bring it to the church

office. Thank you for your consideration and participation.

Hope House fundraising event: It’s that time of year again!

Please join us on Friday, December 7th at 5:30 PM or 7:30 PM for

“Christmas Spectacle”, our annual event, at Christ Presbyterian

Church, 350 Henley Road, Richmond. $10 ticket includes show,

dessert and Starbucks coffee, served by the gentlemen of Hope

House. Tickets can be purchased in the foyer before and after

services, in the church office during regular office hours or by

contacting Shannon Nevels at 765/977-9930.

The Senior Adult Christmas luncheon will be held on

Thursday, December 20th (*note- Thursday, NOT Wednesday).

Meet at MCL Cafeteria at 11:00 AM. See Terry with any questions.

We are needing help with Christmas Eve services this year. We are

looking for actors, singers, instrumentalists and dancers. We need at

least 10 actors!! If you are interested or have any questions,

contact Jared: [email protected].

Vacation Bible Schools in the Philippines- Please help us with

a monetary gift to support VBS snacks, baby mom supplies, clothing

and medical supplies. Please give your gift directly to Steve Williams

with a post-it note attached to the check indicating how you want the

donation to be used; and don’t forget to pray for our team. If you

have any questions, please contact Steve at 765/966-9239 or

[email protected]. All funds must be received no later than

Sunday, December 2nd so they can be sent to CRAM and

forwarded to the Philippines before the team arrives. Thank you for

your faithful support of our mission program.
