We are collecting funds for the HandUp Foundation and the Salvation Army, even though the Milton

Bridge Walk is cancelled. Place donations in the bucket on the Welcome Desk or designate “Bridge Walk” on your offering envelope. Fall Food Drive in partnership with HandUp Food Initiative: This year, HandUp is requesting grocery store gift cards for $10 and $20 only. This is a practical way to help our local food bank provide much needed assistance for families in our area during the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday Season. Next time you buy groceries, why not purchase a gift card for the collection basket in the lobby?!Please see Jane Wirt with any questions or contact her at 570-428-5058 or [email protected].

The Operation Christmas Child (OCC) tree in the lobby is full of tags listing items for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Due to the pandemic, children in poverty around the world are in even greater need. To help, choose one or more tags from the tree, purchase and bring the donations to the OCC table in the lobby by November 1. For questions, or to help with the Packing Party on November 14, contact Amy Goodwin or Jane Wirt.

Copies of the October CMF Birthday and Anniversary Calendar are on the Welcome Desk. We encourage you to pick up a copy and send greetings or congratulations to those celebrating birthdays or anniversaries in the coming month. You are invited to spend some time in the Prayer Room. You are invited to come in and spend time in prayer throughout the week, in Room 210, in the west hallway. Enjoy the quiet of this space that’s been set apart for prayer.

A Community Bulletin Board and table in the lobby display local events, job listings, housing needs, helpful

resources, and items of interest to our congregation. Please stop by and see what’s happening at CMF and our surrounding community. Contemporary Christian Music station, WGRC, seeks an Office Administrator/Bookkeeper. This full-time position is responsible for managing Payroll, HR, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Donor Giving. Send resume and cover letter to Rob Kime, WGRC, 101 Armory Blvd., Lewisburg, PA 17837 or [email protected]. EOE

Children’s Ministry

Christmas in October? Yes! We’re celebrating Christmas a bit early this year, so we can bless even more kids with Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes stuffed to the brim! Our tree is filled

with tags listing all kinds of fun items we can pack into boxes at a Packing Party on November 14. To help, simply choose a tag (or two, or three!), purchase and bring donations to our tub in the lobby by November 1. For any questions, or to help in some way, please contact Jane Wirt at 570-428-5058, or Amy Goodwin at 570-490-6217. Thank you! Children’s Church is back to “normal” this fall, with the added bonus of second grade, too! Preschool meets in the first set of gym classrooms (205/206). Grades K-2 meet in the second set (207/208). Please wear a mask.

Sunday school is back! Kids will go directly to their class-rooms (listed in the Sunday school chart in the bulletin).

Would you like to be prayed for today? Every Sunday, after the sermon, an Elder is available at the front of the auditorium to anoint you with oil and pray for your needs. We encourage you to partake of this special time of prayer.

Today, we welcome Andrew Mashas and Lorri Bentch, from Eastern Mennonite Missions. Andrew, who serves on staff in Church Relations and as Development Coordinator, will share the morning message. Lorri, EMM Mission Team Director, will teach our Adult Sunday School Class in the sanctuary following the worship service. 2021 Leadership: Please fast and pray for the Spirit of God to guide us as we seek CMF volunteer ministry leaders for the coming year.

Although attendance is no longer split alphabetically, please continue to wear a mask and practice social distance. Live-streaming is still available for those worshipping at home.

Who are you? We appreciate all who watch CMF’s live-stream worship services, but don’t know who some of you are! To help us track online attendance, please sign in using part of your name—perhaps your first initial and last name, for example. Thank you for your help!

Women’s Bible Study is back! We will study 1 Corinthians, using Jen Wilkins’ “Women of the Word” format. Join us Tuesdays from 9:00-11:00 AM, in Rooms 201/202, October 20—November 24. Please sign up in the lobby.

Volunteers still needed! Can you help operate streaming equipment in the sanctuary Sunday mornings? Although some training is required, this would greatly assist our ability to provide high quality live feed to those watching from home. See Regan Yoder to learn more.
